The role: 

An exciting opportunity for a versatile Food & Beverage Manager to join our friendly team at Farleigh Golf Club in Warlingham, Surrey.
 
Averaging 50 weddings a year, turning over a million pounds per annum and supported by a team of around 20 people, you will ensure that our members and guests have a great experience whether that is attending a golf day, lunching with friends in our 50+ cover bar and restaurant, enjoying a Sunday carvery or attending an event in one of our four well-appointed function rooms. 
 
Farleigh opens for breakfast and lunch daily with early dinner available at the weekend and for pre-booked functions and events.  With 27 holes of golf and a fun indoor golf simulator the clubhouse is a thriving place to be.

We are seeking a pragmatic, resilient and flexible F&B manager who can support the GM and motivate the team to ensure the success of the business during times of frequent change.  Although we are closed at the moment, we expect to be very busy as soon as golf courses can open, when it will be all hands on deck once again.
 
The role is 45 hours per week, on a 5 days out of 7 basis, including weekends and bank holidays.  You will have rota flexibility subject to the needs of the business.
 

Our Ideal Applicant: 
  • Prior management experience in a busy pub, brasserie, hotel or fresh food restaurant
  • Experience of running functions and weddings essential
  • Excellent communication and people management skills with the ability to train, develop and build a team

  • Great customer service skills
  • Stock management experience
  • Enthusiastic in developing the efficiency and effectiveness of the department
  • Commercially astute with the desire and ideas to increase revenue
  • Personable, approachable with a natural authority
  • Good standard of written and spoken English
  • Smart personal presentation and polite manner
  • Reliable, hardworking and a team player
  • Willingness to ensure compliance to covid-19 health & safety practices
  • First Aid at Work qualified (desirable)
  • Personal licence (desirable)
