The role: 

Foxhills is a family-owned, 4 star hotel and leisure membership club with over 5000 members in Ottershaw, Surrey.  In addition to 70 spacious hotel bedrooms, fantastic spaces for weddings and events, the club offers a wide range of leisure activities.  Two 18-hole golf courses, a par-3 nine-hole, three restaurants, an award-winning spa and gym and eleven tennis courts are offered. ‘The Pavilion’, a £7m leisure facility with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, four activity spaces offering everything from art to Zumba classes, a deli-style restaurant and crèche make up our fantastic resort.

Our Ideal Applicant: 

Prior experience working with children
An interest in sports, wellbeing or creative pursuits
Have a warm, welcoming and helpful attitude, be willing to learn
First aid qualified (training provided if required)
Food safety trained (training provided if required)
Health & safety conscious with an ability to follow procedures (training provided)
High standard of personal presentation
Primary Responsibilities

  • To be fully knowledgeable about Foxhills Leisure department services and products
  • To be up to date with timetable changes, cancellations, booking windows and any relevant information that members and guests may need relating to the class or activity
  • To be aware of our retail offering and process sales efficiently
  • To regularly monitor booking and appointment system to ensure elimination of mistakes which could cause inconvenience and dissatisfaction to both staff and members
  • To maintain complete discretion and tact in all communications with clients.
  • When requested, to open and close the Pavilion, conducting all opening and closing operational and security duties as detailed by senior management and operational guidelines.
  • To provide a consistently high standard of customer service ensuring that guests are always made to feel welcome. This will be achieved by communication by telephone, face to face or in writing.
  • To forward any relevant information to the correct department or staff member
  • To welcome members and guests to the Pavilion in a professional, business like and friendly manner at all times.
  • To ensure the reception area is always well presented and organised, and all materials are stocked up
  • To complete reception administration duties in a timely and effective manner.
  • Carry out all till operational procedures in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Carry out basic banking duties, cashing up and change collection.
  • Handle any client complaints effectively and promptly, ensuring a senior manager is involved and updated to all feedback – negative and positive.
  • Assist with any client or promotional events.

General

  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a friendly and courteous manner at all times.
  • To maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance, in line with company standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area
  • To adhere to all statutory requirements regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene.
  • To attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to company policies.
  • Support colleagues in delivering a high standard of customer service
  • Carry out any additional duties as reasonably requested by the management team 
  • Promote the Foxhills Collection in a positive light at every opportunity

  • To ensure that advice given to clients regarding their health and wellbeing is done so within the guidelines of our profession. That no medical advice is given that may endanger a client’s health.
  • To not make any false claims about the benefits of a treatment or product that could be misinterpreted by the client and therefore bring the reputation of the spa, treatment, or product in to disrepute.
  • To ensure that all details regarding Foxhills guests are kept in the strictest of confidence and that confidential information is never discussed with inappropriate parties either inside or outside the company.
